Inspiration for Natural Tattoos

For cat lovers there are some pretty simple almost line drawings of cats, to detailed images of your pretty pussy cat, as well as stylised or comic images.

For those who prefer dogs, you can have a cute image of your favorite pooch, after all why not have mans best friend (or womans!?) tattooed forever on your bod?  Of course, for something more fierce there's always the British bulldog or perhaps just an image of a much loved but lost puppy or dog?

A dolphin tattoo is not only a cute image but one with real meaning too.  Symbolising freedom and a genuine love for life, the image of a dolphin rising from the waves and splashing back down is one of the few "action" tattoos that can genuinely work and look good.  They're also a gentle mammal, so a good choice of design for girls too. 

It's a good small image to use as an accent on the shoulder, back of the neck or the ankle.  This is one of the most popular tattoo designs for women and rightly so, with a choice of stylised, mythical, futuristic, even tribal or celtic style, there's a massive choice of ideas for this beautiful image.

An elephant tattoo can look great on the upper arm, whether it's an image of the full body or just the head .  For a cuter image, how about a baby elephant or two - something similar to an image from Jungle Book?  For the latest designs, how about a tribal inspired design for a cutting edge, powerful style?

Fish tattooz range from the simple Christian fish design that's an ideal small design for anywhere on the body to the large koi designs that can be large enough to cover your full back.  The Japanese koi has inspired some of the most colorful and creative designs and is a great way to create your own truly unique design.

Horse lovers may choose to have a horse head on their lower back, a galloping horse or even a celtic inspired image, such as the white horses seen on hillsides around the UK.  It can be a good design to use as a cover up for an older design, as it's a large design with plenty of space to cover up a no longer wanted name or image.  One of the coolest designs of horses is where either the mane or the entire horse is drawn using flames, unusual and really impressive!

A seahorse can be a small, cute design or would work equally well as a medium size image on the upper back, the buttocks or thigh.  Combine it with other images from the sea, such as starfish, shells to create a larger image.  Seahorses can look equally well on your ankle as your upper arm, the choice is yours!

Whilst sharks are usually seen as preferred by men, some of the old school designs are really beautiful and perfect for the discerning woman.  However, one of the scariest, worst tattoos we've seen was the open jaw of a shark tattooed on a womans underarm - so choose carefully! Polynesian tribes considered the shark a sacred animal, but in just about every culture it symbolised strength and power.
